It is an unseasonably warm January morning in South Alabama, a little cloudy and we are expecting rain later today. The Old Man and Small Dog set out on their morning walk. Small Dog relieves her bladder and bowels of course, but after that her main activity on the walk of about a half mile is sniffing.


The Old Man marvels at what her olfactory sense must be like. She stops frequently, holding her little nose against the apparently bare ground. Finally, she gleans all the information possible from that spot, and they move on to the next one.

Bamaprogressive was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1943.  Except for his college years, he has lived there his entire life.  Bamaprogressive attended the University of Alabama , graduating with a degree in Music Education.  He was a high school band director for 16 years.  After earning enough credits to sit for the CPA exam at Auburn University, Bamaprogressive31 spent the remainder of his career at a local CPA firm.
