Among the many things the Old Man notices on his walks is the many mature trees in his neighborhood. Many of them are bare of leaves now, and you can spot the bird nests among the bare limbs more easily. The evergreens stand out more now, of course. They make a beautiful picture with the background of the blue sky. He wishes that he had paid more attention when his Mother would name the trees that they passed. Being able to name a tree or plant makes it , in some way, yours.

Bamaprogressive was born in Montgomery, Alabama in 1943.  Except for his college years, he has lived there his entire life.  Bamaprogressive attended the University of Alabama , graduating with a degree in Music Education.  He was a high school band director for 16 years.  After earning enough credits to sit for the CPA exam at Auburn University, Bamaprogressive31 spent the remainder of his career at a local CPA firm.
